Tickets to the children's shadow theater. How to make a shadow theater for children? Hand shadow theater

The Shadow Theater is a small but very cozy building, the auditorium in which can accommodate about 100 visitors. The foyer is not very large, but there it is quite possible to wait for the start of the performance or to relax during the intermission. Moreover, the atmosphere inside is fascinating.

The theater has a small buffet where you can sip warm tea and enjoy fresh pastries.

As for the hall itself, it has an elongated shape. There is no large lift, but it can be seen even from the last rows. At the same time, it is better to plunge into the atmosphere of the performance and enjoy the purest sound possible closer to the stage.

Since the theater is for children, everything here is thought out in such a way as to create the most comfortable environment for the kids. Here, the child does not have to sit in his arms during the performance. The seat cushions are securely fixed in the upper positions and equipped with a special stand. Due to this, an excellent view opens up even for two-year-olds.

All performances shown in the shadow theater are adapted for the perception of child psychology. At the show you will find:

  • simple plot;
  • clear images;
  • pleasant soundtrack.

Moskovsky children's theater shadows

The Moscow Children's Shadow Theater was the first in Russia to use the techniques of shadow theater, here they skillfully combine the view ancient art and classic plots. So, among the performances there are "Aibolit", "Thumbelina", "The Nutcracker", "The Little Humpbacked Horse". The repertoire includes performances for kids from 3 years old, for children from 5 and 7 years old. The seats in the hall are also specially adapted for young spectators.

Children from 3 years old can be advised the wonderful story "Butter Lisa" - about the adventures of a butter roll in the form of a cat, which was created by the wizard Cream.
For children from 7 years old, the theater's repertoire includes the play "The Lotus of the Heavenly Princess" by Lyudmila Ulitskaya. A journey to the magical city of Kanakapuri is based on Indian folklore and on the idea of reincarnation and responsibility for one's actions in the past.

Theater "Scientist Bear"

The theater staff independently write scripts, create dolls and decorations with their own hands, as well as some rare musical instruments: gusli, pity, wheeled lyre, kalimba. In the theater you can watch the performance-performance "Well and Well" - it combines shadow theater, African masks, songs and dances of the African people of Mali. The play "Christmas", based on the Russian nativity scene, will tell kids about the main religious sacrament.

For children from 4 years of age, "Scientist Bear" conducts a master class "Travel in 10 minutes around the world." After an hour of rehearsal with the cast and director, the toddlers put on their own shadow show for their parents.

Theater "Trickster"

The directors of the Trickster theater, laureates of the Golden Mask theater award Maria Litvinova and Vyacheslav Ignatov, create amazing puppet and shadow performances. It is not the usual "Teremok" with "Pockmarked Chicken" that is staged here, but "The Little Prince" or "Fairy Tales of Robots". The popular performance "The Farmer and the Giantess" tells a hilarious story about Scottish farmers and their wild giant neighbors.

"Trickster" also arranges shadow master classes for children, the theme can be any work: "Don Juan", "Prometheus", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Swan Lake". There is a lot of improvisation in these classes. First, directors with children remember the story, the plot, then the children themselves draw dolls, cut them out, attach them to the same pencil with which they drew, and as a result play the version of the plot that they managed to recreate together.

Theater "Praktika"

The shadow play "A Tale That Was Not Written" was also staged by the directors of the Trickster Theater. It can be perceived both as a children's fairy tale and as a philosophical parable: the princess finds herself in a magical world, and the audience helps her find her own fairy tale. The authors call their performance a draft, but it turned out to be very interesting, and has been loved by the audience for more than five years.

Home theater

Home Theater was founded by GITIS graduates - Olga Zeiger and Arseny Epelbaum. It turned out to be a real theater house, where there is theatre studio for kids. In it, children get to know the theater first behind the scenes, study theatrical genres, help create costumes and sets for performances, and then go on stage and play the roles of Onegin, Odyssey, Hercules, Juliet, Athena.

From the shadow performances now in the Home Theater you can watch "Swan Lake", or rather, you can order it by inviting artists to your event. This is not just a play, but a shadow master class: children cut out dolls using patterns, and then use them to stage a short excerpt from the play.

Hand shadow theater

Hand shadow theater is one of the simplest forms of shadow art. For his equipment, you will need the most common items - a table lamp and a screen - big leaf white paper or cloth. If the room has light walls, a theatrical performance of light and shadow can be shown directly on the wall.

The pictures show how with the help of hands you can create silhouettes of animals, birds, people. With practice, you can bring shadows to life and tell your own story.

  • You can start acquainting children with the shadow theater from 1.5-2 years old. The first classes should be held as a theatrical performance, when an adult plays the roles, and the children act as spectators. After the child understands the rules and traditions theatrical art, he can be included in the game as a participant in the action. Children play and voice roles, learn texts and poems. At first, trust small, uncomplicated roles. Then complicate things gradually.
  • Cardboard figures of shadow theater actors should be black, then they will be contrasting and noticeable on the screen. For DIY figurines, use curly stencils. If you plan to reuse homemade figurines, we recommend laminating them.
  • In order to make the shadows clear, place the light source behind a little to the side of the screen. The light source will be an ordinary desk lamp or flashlight.
  • The size of the shadow on the screen depends on the distance from the figure to the lamp. If you bring the figurine closer to the screen, then its shadow becomes small and clear. If you place it further, the shadow will increase in size, and the outlines will be blurred.
  • To prevent the decorations from moving during the performance, attach them to the screen itself with tape or paper clips.
  • Whatman paper, tracing paper or white sheet is perfect as a screen. The smaller the screen you use, the thinner and more transparent it needs to be, and the brighter you need a light source.
  • In order to create a theatrical atmosphere, you can draw a poster, tickets and even arrange an intermission.

One of the oldest forms of art. The first representatives of this sphere appeared in Ancient Greece more than two thousand years ago. A distinctive feature of this art form is that the main characters in the performances are the lighting equipment and the doll, which projects its silhouette onto the screen. Such a magical form of art is also presented in our capital within the walls of the Children's Moscow Shadow Theater. What is he like?

Moscow Children's Shadow Theater

The described theater has a difficult fate and an extensive history. Its origins go back to 1934, when the artist E. Zonnenstral led a children's drawing circle at the Moscow Museum of Children's Books. Then she was joined by director S. Svobodina, who took the circle's activities to a new level. Now Shadow Theater toured children's camps and schools, spreading its magic. Unfortunately, during the Great Patriotic War The Moscow children's shadow theater was destroyed. After the war, the acting troupe did not have a permanent place. But in 1988 the theater received its house in Moscow on Izmailovsky Boulevard.

The stages of development of the Moscow children's shadow theater can be considered the modernization of the puppets themselves. From the 30s to the 50s of the XX century, shadow theater worked exclusively with a projection doll, the silhouette of which was projected onto the screen with the help of a correctly installed light. Then, from the beginning of the 60s, the acting troupe has been studying the traditions of the Chinese shadow theater, namely the "puppet in the light". This means that with the help of the theater lighting from above and the unusual design of the doll, it makes it possible to obtain a three-dimensional image. The first positive experience of using the Chinese technique was the production of "Come, a fairy tale!" The next breakthrough in shadow art was made by the new director E. I. May in 1963. His innovation consisted in the fact that he combined a shadow doll on the screen and a three-dimensional doll on the screen in the play "Aibolit". This gave more space for the realization of all artistic ideas.

The address of the Moscow Children's Shadow Theater has not changed since the end of the 20th century - Izmailovsky Boulevard, house 60/10.

Repertoire

The list of performances is relatively small. It includes performances for the little ones as well as for adolescents.

The repertoire includes a production that is practically absent in other children's theaters. The play "Classics for the little ones. Giselle" is staged for children aged 1+ (duration 35 minutes) to give the little audience a little magic, after which they will remain in a good mood.

For the target audience aged 5+, the repertoire is quite extensive: "Thumbelina", "How Dad and I went to the forest for a Christmas tree", "The Little Humpbacked Horse", "A Kitten named Woof", "Sweet Liza".

For children aged 6+, the Children's Moscow Shadow Theater has prepared an educational tour performance "Where Shadows Live" and a master class "An Evening Fairy Tale".

Troupe

Actors in shadow theater are not just actors, they are wizards, thanks to whom the dolls and their shadows come to life. The acting troupe is small, but has all the skills of shadow art on a professional level.

Buying tickets

Purchasing tickets will not be difficult. Their purchase can be made both at the box office on Izmailovsky Boulevard and on the official website of the Moscow Children's Shadow Theater. Purchasing tickets at the box office is the best option, since you can consult with the cashier about the repertoire, which will help you choose the right performance for your child. As for the official theater, the theater's website has a very convenient menu for ordering, it is distinguished by its ease of use. The theater itself also recommends subsidiary ticket sales sites as partners. But do not forget that there may be a surcharge on such sites, be careful.

The minimum ticket price is 400 rubles.
