Artyom observed the germination of pea seeds and the sprouts that appeared. To find out whether light affects the rate of germination, he took two glasses, put several identical pea seeds in each of them and filled them with water from one bottle so that the seeds were completely submerged in water. Artyom placed both glasses on the table under a fluorescent lamp, but shielded one of them from the lamp with a cardboard box with holes cut out. Then Artyom watched the sprouts appearing in both glasses.
